UNENDING ENCOMIUM AS THE PERMANENT SECRETARY MUSA WEN IBRAHIM Ph.D BOWS OUT OF FEDERAL CIVIL SERVICE.

It was a day of mixed feelings as Staff came out to behold an Icon, a living Legend, indefatigable and pragmatic gentleman, Musa W. Ibrahim Ph.D as he retires as a Permanent Secretary from the Federal Civil Service after attaining 60 years of age. In a farewell session organized by the Human Resources Department of the Ministry in honour of the retiring Permanent Secretary, encomium flew freely from the start to the end of the programme.

Musa Wen Ibrahim was appointed as Special Assistant to the Chairman Interim Management Committee of the Petroleum Special Trust Fund where he served as Deputy Director (Special Duties) and (Administration) respectively between July 1999 and Nov. 2003.  Dr. Musa Wen Ibrahim joined the mainstream Civil Service as a Deputy Director/Secretary Coordinating Committee, Nasarawa State, National Poverty Eradication Programme {NAPEP) in Nov. 2003. He served as Deputy Director in the following Ministries; Federal Ministry of Aviation (Budget), Communication/Information Expert, Policy Analysis and Research Project {PARP) National Assembly of Nigeria, and  Federal Ministry of Science and Technology as Deputy Director Training and Staff Welfare between 2005-2009.

He rose to the post of Director on January 1, 2011 where he served in this capacity in various Ministries including Federal Ministry of Water Resources as a Director, River Basins Operation and Inspectorate.

Musa Wen Ibrahim Ph.D was elevated to the enviable rank of a Federal Permanent Secretary On August 16, 2017,by the then Acting President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo (SAN) and was posted to the Federal Ministry of Water Resources.

He has bowed out of the Federal Civil Service after attaining the mandatory retirement age of 60. The Ministry and Nigeria at large will remember him for his dedication and commitments to service.
