MRS. EKARO, COMFORT CHUKUMUEBOBO RESUMES OFFICE AS PERMANENT SECRETARY OF FEDERAL MINISTRY OF WATER RESOURCES
On assumption of office on Wednesday 27th February, 2019, the Permanent Secretary of Federal Ministry of Water Resources, Mrs. Ekaro Comfort Chukumuebobo hit the ground running by promptly having a meeting with Management staff of the Ministry, and addressed the Management on the immediate need to work in earnest to actualize the mandate of the Ministry whilst being guided by the EPIC culture as enunciated in the 2017-2020 Civil Service Strategic Implementation Plan.
She took over from Dr. Musa Ibrahim, who retired recently from Federal Civil Service.
The new Permanent Secretary held briefing with the various Departments and Units in the Ministry from Thursday 28th February to Friday 1st March, 2019 at the Ministry’s Conference Room to acquaint herself with the operational modalities of all the Departments and Units of the Ministry.
Mrs. Ekaro is also scheduled to have briefing by the Parastatals of the Ministry starting from Wednesday 6th March, 2019 in Abuja.
Speaking at the taking-over ceremony, she expressed delight to receive the hand-over notes, and promised to build on enormous work done by her predecessor, the retired Permanent Secretary, Dr. Musa Ibrahim.
She stated that the Ministry being a technical Ministry, the briefing will afford her the opportunity of knowing the core mandates of each department, their strengths and challenges.
“I will do my best in contributing my quota in the realization of the mandate of the ministry and the policy trust of the Federal Government”, she said.
