The Honourable Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Engr. Prof. Joseph Terlumun Utsev, FNSE, has approved the appointment of Mr. Philip Ogwuche, Deputy Director (Hydrogeology/Hydrology), as the new National Coordinator of the Partnership for Expanded Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene (PEWASH) Programme.

The appointment takes effect from 14 August 2026.

Mr. Ogwuche has assumed office and is now responsible for the overall coordination, administration and management of the PEWASH Programme, with a mandate to further strengthen the implementation of the programme and advance its objectives across the country.

The Ministry congratulates Mr. Philip Ogwuche on his appointment and wishes him a successful tenure as National Coordinator of the PEWASH Programme.
